Designing a book with stunning photography is no easy feat. It's essential to ensure that the design doesn't overshadow the photography, and that's why we chose to let the visuals speak for themselves in this project.
One of the design details that I am proud of is our use of two different paper stocks to differentiate between the narrative and instructional portions of the book. This simple touch provides a clear separation of the two sections, making it easy for readers to follow along.
We also incorporated a bright orange section as a nod to the 70's gardening books, giving the book an added pop of color.
As one of my first major design projects, this book will always have a special place in my heart.
