Chasing Harvest
Part memoir and journal, part cookbook - all heart - it is a captivating and visually sumptuous meditation on oil and flame as well as a searingly honest, gloriously unrefined account of a chef's search for meaning, one plate of food at a time.

I was flown to California by Cobram Estate and Hardie Grant Publishing to direct the art for a book based on the Cobramโs executive chef Kevin OโConnor. Itโs a great read, Kevโs food is amazing, and so beautifully captured by Luisa Brimble. Melissa Gayle, the talented photographer behind the lens, managed to perfectly capture that ethereal Californian light in some of the best photography Iโve briefed and we all had a lot of fun. The result was a very happy author and a book I still get compliments on today! thanks mum!
Fun Fact: I wanted Kevโs perspective to be present in the design of his book, so I gave him an analogue camera and some film for his travels. This makes the author the 3rd photographer of the book and is integral to the storytelling.
